FS 1 owner 83 MB 300D turbo for rebuild or parts

Thanks to all who replied to my thread regarding the wreck of my 1 owner car in the Diesel discussion forum: Decision time in DFW - sell for parts or fix Decision has been made: I've decided to get out of the old car hobby and sell the car (or perhaps donate to charity).
It's at the body shop and I'm not in a position to part it out.
I need to sell and have the buyer remove soon the entire car.
I'd like to see it go to a forum member to rebuild or use for parts.
I need to move it next week to avoid storage fees.
I have salvage companies coming to look at it next week to make an offer.
Make me an offer for the entire car.
At the time of the wreck, it was mechanically sound but in need of a new paint job (no rust except two spots on the edge of the sunroof, but some peeling paint down to primer from hail damage repair in the late 80's).
Recently installed are: new vacuum pump, new front rotors and calipers plus ceramic Akebono pads on all four wheels. AC was running (fully charged with R12, new compressor and hoses, drier, expansion valve).
Engine is strong 617 turbo. I have complete records since new as I am the original owner (215k miles actual). Car only has one front seat as I have the originals out for repair (repair complete but will sell them separate as used parts).
I also have a large number of parts I had accumulated planning to do a full restoration. New still in the box (euro style depo headlights and corners, SL style grill, complete set of door front and rear windscreen rubber, 8 piece new body side trim with new red mounting buttons, complete new monovalve that is no longer being made, molded plastic blue dash cover (glue on type), new (not rebuild) set (5) monarch injectors (from Sean Watts), about 40 lbs of R12 (in three 30 lb canisters), good supply of new gaskets for power steering pump rebuild, oil filters, fuel filters, etc.).
In addition to the above new items, I have a set of 4 bundts in premium condition mounted with Michelin tires with about 90% tread, repaired pair of front seats in blue MB tex, extra set of blue carpets, extra climate control modules, extra 240 style dash clock, extra sets of console of wood to be refinished including the two drink holder for the console. Trim pieces, etc.
Plan to sell all if not to a forum member, they will go on ebay or craig's list after next week.

There must be a better way to add pictures. I can only do one at a time.

Car is essentially rust free. Two small rust spots on the edge of the sun roof probably from chips.

I'll take $500 but it has to be gone by Friday with the title registered in the new owners name so I have no further liability concerns.

It does not have to be registered in the new owner's name for you to get free of any liability... there is a form for you to send to the Texas DMV which will do that.

I agree, but not for me. At my age I won't settle for serviceable. I want classey. Looks like another forum member will have it by Friday. I shopping and will probably buy one of the new Lexus CT200 hybrids.

Will soon be at the Fort Worth PNP

Three forum member expressed an interest in the car but none ever came to look at it. I donated it to the purple heart veterans charity (wish this had existed in 1969). They in turn have contacted PNP in Fort Worth to pick the car up tomorow. Don't know when it will appear on the lot but you can tell its mine ffom the following information: Helping Veterans Car Donation Program?OnlineYear:1983Make:Mercedes BenzModel:300DColor:WhiteVIN:WDBAB33A6DB031332Mileage:215,600

Were I still searching for parts, I would quickly grab the following which are all less than two years old and less than 5K miles. Front rotors and calipers; all the pads are new ceramic Akebono; new AC compressor and hoses including the expensive manifold assembly (AC working fine at time of crash); half shafts; center support bearing; ventilation blower; vacuum pump, tach amplifier.

Take the entire engine - it's had oil and filter changes every 3k miles since new and runs strong. Replace the engine mounted alternator bracket (I'll be selling one I have) as the bolt broke and ovaled the mounting hole. Works now but should be replaced. Also, replace the oil filter to engine gasket - it has a small leak.

I'll be listing my large inventory of new parts and good used parts individually on ebay (user name Doctordlean) as this forum doesn't seem to be a good way to sell and auction will determine what things are worth. Items will probalby not appear until late May when the semester ends.

Good man, Cr!

Everyone that said they wanted (or would if, if, if) had the better part of a week to get it. Good history on it! I hope your replacement vehicle is to your liking too!

I think there is only one in Forth Worth. It's not far from 121. I think the road (street) is Elliot-Reeder or similar.
