Say hello to my new diesel!

1987 190d 2.5turbodiesel. I paid the PO $2100 for it.

230k on the the clock

So far, what it needs are pretty easy-
-driver's seat
-door checks
-radio code
-new pump seal for the window washer solution tank

I think I got a good deal.

Some of you here might remember I was destined for a minivan. Well, call it timing but a few of my wife's friends are getting divorced because of problems much bigger than vehicles. It made her realize that my Benz obsession is actually a positive and not a negative (channelling energy and all that i.e. not chasing skirts in town) because the Benz obsession makes me predictable- every weekend, I am fixing something!
So as of right now, I am not destined to be a minivan driver.

I am not in Alaska. That is just a vanity plate until I get the car registered

Not chasing skirt eh? Why would you you've got one on the car now.

Nice way of selling a Benz to the Mrs though.

NICE car! I loved my '87 190D 2.5Turbo, more fun to drive than any little diesel should be and always surprises people that it's a diesel.

The original Becker radio was not a coded radio. If it is original and someone has removed the wires in the wrong order or disconnected it with an alarm signal to it, it won't work and it is probably time to replace it.

How would you like to sell it and turn a profit. It's what I have been looking for . How about a $1000 profit?

My wife thinks that was a good deal and that you need to treat her like a queen for that...

I like your home - the brick, the upper porch? the rustic driveway material and the wooded setting.

Oh, nice find too, Ben! Congrats on the new Benz. Be sure to tell your wife it gets super mileage, is easy to drive (smaller than an SDL) has 4-doors for baby seats too.

Get the SDL SOLD! Dave Ramsey said so!

FWIW I just had very good luck with welding the springs back together in my TD. I didn't expect it to work but it did!
