1984 300TD euro reverse light weirdness

Take a look at the butt of my car... Right light is white the other is red. When I put it in reverse only the white one lights up.

Is this a weird euro thing or something odd going on here?

Euro thing! The driver's side red lens is a rear fog light that should light up with the front fogs!

Thanks! Ya the red one lights up when I turn on the fogs! Thought I had some weird wiring problems.

The orange dot in the center of the light switch should light up also as the indicator!

Oooh look at me with my Euro wagon!!
Does it have a manual trans too.

Just kidding, looks like a nice wagon. With those tiny little bumpers I'm surprised that none of your rear lights are broken. They are always broken even with the fat US bumpers.

It only lights up with the front fogs when the headlight switch is pulled to the 2nd detent.

Your model will not have it. The manual linked to was for non turbo European diesels.

I dont think there are holes to mount the bumper shocks, so mounting a US bumper might be a problem. I also would like to replace the euro bumper on my 85 TD with the beefer US version.

The holes for the bumper shocks are there! Euro cars with Euro hitches have extensions which go into the holes and secure the extension to the frames box channel about 14" inside of it.
