There should be a drama forum. Where all the grumpy old dieselers can just let each other have it.

A common quote on here
"There is nothing more expensive than a cheap Mercedes!"

$140/ Hr is good money for them. I struggle to get that for a road grader & opperator including fuel !! :D
$78 for wiper blades !! I paid $3.99 the other day & thought it was too much. :(
$165 for brake pads !! Have a look at fastlane !! Better still, dont tell Lee or he may be tempted to put the price up!!

It looks like some one is paying for some crack habit !!

it's not good practice to post telephone numbers or home addresses on here... it's ok to post your OWN info, but it's not wise...

Thanks for posting the cost information. It just tends to keep me and others informed about what some service facilities are charging these days.

The choice of how someone deals with their cars service issues is still their choice in my mind.

I suppose if you can buy an '81 300CD non turbo with supposedly 14,000 miles for $11,000 sight unseen, you can have somebody replace your wipers for $78! :D

Those numbers are incredible.

However, I can tell you that locally I believe the largest and most reputable indy Volvo-Mercedes shop is at about $115/hr for Benz and their parts markups are large.

English Bulldog 12-23-2010 11:49 AM

the address is the Mercedes dealership. i will erase the phone number.

I think I pay my indy about $100/hour.

English Bulldog 12-23-2010 01:41 PM

price of wiper surprised me. I thought it would be 26 and if i thought harder 32.

I was going to drive it down from Wa down thru the Oregon and the Cal Redwoods. So thought it might be wise to change the worn out wipers. But couldn't get people to commit so i hired Carmoza, the best car mover out there. David T.
