I asked over in the car audio section yesterday but nobody ever answered.
Becker 612 in 240D? Will it fit?

I've got a 1982 240D with a Becker Europa Cassette radio in it. What I want to do is remove that one and put in a Becker 612 radio out of a 300SD.

Is this a direct swap? Do the power, antenna, speakers, etc, all plug in directly to either radio, or will I have to do some wire cutting and splicing and such? I'm really hoping it's a direct unplug and plug back in operation.

nope.
the 612 uses a 6 pin power socket, and two spade connectors for the speakers... the 240 is a tad simpler.
