This may be something to do with voltage and/or the K40 relay based on the engine dieing while being driven.
You can monitor voltage after its started using the CCU. Press and hold REST for 5 secs, use AUTO buttons to toggle to screen 24. Ought to be +13-13.5V after the GP timer circut turns off. A high end scanner will tell you what the trans story is; P0700 on OBDii is generic.

Thanks for the info.
Is there any info on what all the values mean while using the REST button feature? I did a search and couldn't find any. |

The problem should be either battery/alternator or K40 relay failing. |

I cannot find a module that looks like this anywhere in my car.
Where is it located? My car will not start at all now. I cracked open the injector lines and there is no fuel getting to the engine. Everything else seems normal except the front windows do not work as well as the seats but that problem has been there for a while. |

The K40 is the front most relay inside the computer box on the right side of the engine compartment.
Open hood, open drivers window, turn key to pos 2. If you hear a click from around the IP area your shut off valve just openned. If you didnt, it didnt, and will never start. Either your K40 or your SOV is bad. Repalce the K40 first because of the other elect glitches you are having now. Search "SteveBFL" and "AC diagnostics" for what all the other CCU results mean. Mostly pertains to AC temps, pressures, etc.

Ok. thanks..I found it by checking the part number. It doesn't look quite the same as in the picture.
I sure wish there were test points or wiring diagrams somewhere. I think knowing which wires went to the pump would make it be easier to diagnose. This car makes me wish I still had the old 240D. It never left me stranded. |
