looking for posts on vacuum pump change out for 81 300D

I'm about ready to change out my vac pump on the 81, and was just wondering if anybody has seen a "how to" thread on here with specifics? Or, can anyone who has done these before give me a heads up on tricky or unforeseen problems I may come up against? Thanks. Lee

I just did the job on my TD. Thought I'd save some time and not remove the radiator but I ended up removing it anyway, woulda been easier at the get go. Also removed the steering pump belt.

I did my 83 with the radiator in place. Get some good ball end allen wrenches and clean the bolt heads thoroughly. Only hint is to rotate the engine for installing the new one so the lobe is not pressing against the pump.
