Well....I just did the test, it looks like I'm sorta in the clear. I know that these engines at this age are gonna always have some blow-by, I was just sorta wondering what the threshold for excessive was.
Also, would it behoove me to replace the gasket on my oil-filler cap? It seems to be leaking a bit there. |

I would replace the seal/gasket on the oil-filler cap if it's leaking.

What year/model car 01Ntrain?
The 616/617 engines seem to have blowby normally, where the 60x engines will not have any blowby idling with the cap off, it is all sucked through the crankcase vent tube. If there's blowby coming out of a 60x oil fill cap opening, you have problems.
