Well, we hate to lose any forum members to self inflicted mechanical accidents... or member's cars either..
but we sure can't afford to lose GIRL forum members... few and far between are they.... and it would be bad for sexist stereotypes concerning mechanical abilities too...
We try to be both mechanically and politically correct while being realistic...
LOL

You need not be politically correct with me. I'm not with anyone else!
And I like it when people look out for me. we're all good!

Take your wrench or breaker bar and measure six inches up the handle from the center of the socket. Scribe a mark or wrap a piece of tape around the handle at that point. Now stand on it with your 160 lbs centered over that mark. This is exactly 80 ft-lbs.

(0.5 ft * 160 lbs = 80 ft-lbs. See what I did there? This is useful any time you have to reach a high torque value and don't have a usable torque wrench. Need 320 ft-lbs for the big axle nut on a VW? Put a cheater bar on it and stand two feet out.)
