Fuel Injector Spray patterns good/bad

I found some footage that I had shot in the shop some time ago on a few injectors that I was working on. It demonstrates the proper spray pattern of a good nozzle and one that is defective.

Enjoy!

wow, it's been a long time since you've posted!
that pattern looks tight, I expected a wider pattern on a good nozzel.
2000psi equates to about 137bar, have you got it set high because it'll settle in after driven a bit?

Yea I had to shift gears for a while (no pun intended) and take care of house related repairs. Yuck!

Anyway set it at about 1950 or so. Will drop slightly after they get broken in. The camera angle was not so good and I am no photo pro so the pattern looks funny on film. However its a very good pattern and the engine purrs so smooth, it was like a sewing machine.

Anyway I got lots more stuff I shot years ago that I am slowly working through and will put on youtube as I get the time.

Great video. Thanks Diesel Giant. Do you make or have the tool that I could buy to test my own at home? I had an 82 300d a couple years ago I hit a deer with it so it sat until I could find a donor and in the last month I got the fever back and picked up three more 300d's so I am pretty sure I need my own tester. Thanks
