Hey Manny why not post a standard list of the usual BS you must swap with the 617 -or address like a napa glow plug switch-etc when using it as a doner for another vehicle

Are you using a Mercedes automatic transmission? The set up for the W123 and W126 are meant to use the linkage for kick down... as well as idle and max speed settings etc etc

4spd tranny, so no kick-down.

Would also like to retain the original STOP lever if possible

a few others I found:

Picked up some linkage from the yard this morning.

this compact item comes from a volvo...has a build-in return spring:

also grabbed some additional mercedes brackets and linkage which should provide some options towards my conversion:

well, here's what I came up with:

I believe I used one of the brackets associated w/the cruise-control.

will be adding a stop to the skinny peddle to limit the throw...but seems to operate nicely

That looks nice and minimalist - are you planning to take a photo of the attachment to the IP when it is done?

MR MANNY, that is a very clean setup you have there, cleanest one of the bunch.

When I put the 4-spd in our 85 300D and got rid of some of the linkage, it sure made a difference in the peddle w/o the extra linkage. the cable might be a little smoother yet.

It looks very un-farmered up. I was afraid you'd bodge up something horrible.
