A little diesel spilt on the paint etc... isn`t going to hurt anything. It will not discolor the paint or remove it. Loosing $5 to $10 worth of fuel is a worse calamity. (at calif prices)

On a happy note, maybe a Prius slipped in it and got a Boo Boo.

what a horrible sentiment! it would be a tragedy indeed if ANY motor vehicle slipped in a fuel spill. cars are important, and they cannot defend themselves. I'm a strong supporter of PETA (Persons for the Ethical Treatment of Automobiles), and cannot abide this horrible statement.
