The green thing is the modulator, it's located on the left (drivers side) of the transmission.

At least I'm fairly certain, (722.3xx) not sure what year it is, katumba1, please put your car in your avatar or signature.

Ahhh that'll be the red thing in my picture then? We are talking about the vacuum modulator then? If so that's on the opposite side on my 722.118...

I believe so Army, the 722.118 seems to be on the right side and is red.

BTW, do you have a Euro or North American?

It's my buddy's 82 300dt that I'm working on.

In that pic, I'm looking up at the left side of the trans, facing back (drivers side, facing rear).

By the look of the trans and the fasteners holding it in, the trans seems to have been recently pulled. No idea what was done to it.

Really appreciate any input on this. It's sitting up on jack stands on my side driveway. I'm in Vegas. The heat is coming... If I've got to R&R the trans, rather do it sooner rather than later.
