Could be worse, our neighbor had mice and rats eat the insulation off of the wiring harnesses of her Jag XJ6. It ruined the car, they had to trash it because the quote for replacing the wiring harnesses came to $14,000 and the car was not insured for that kind of damage. The car had been a gift from her brother -- she was not cash out of pocket on the deal. Still kinda sad, it was a nice car.
To answer the OP's original question, it depends to some extent on which car in the list had the nest. Insulation and sound padding, when ripped up by tiny teeth, will look just like dryer lint. It would be worth some time to check under the dash and seats to see if there is a "trail of destruction." Jeremy
