Frankenpanel!

Today, I removed my instrument panel and transferred my speedometer and clock to new plastic housing. I also soldered (bridged) dimmer contacts and added an additional ground wire. I now have nice bright lights, working clock and no melted plastic sockets. The best part was that the donor panel was free . . . . the mighty w126 lives on at 389,000 miles -hope to hit 500k with this car. Still fires up immediately and only uses oil if I cruise at 80 for long periods of time, a great car that still looks good!
