Look, I have had that Redline in my transmission for years... and I drive mine at least a hundred miles ( not a typo ) a year.....and there has been no detectable change in the shifting feel....
Is it really proper etiquette to compare our MB's with ' those other cars ' ?

Dunno if the MT in my 91 BMW is THAT much different from your w123. Those E30 cars were designed in the late 70's/early 80s versus early 70's like a w123. Was there much change?

Just relaying my experience with Redline MTF. If you like the shifting feel, ignore it. Using it many years, I didnt like the feel after about a year of use, and so I found something that did better in my application...
