Delivery Valve O-ring and Copper Washer sizes for bulk purchase for OM603?

Anyone here know for sure the dimensions of the viton orings and copper washers? I'd like to order about 50 of each from the supply house, but I need ID, OD, and thickness.

Thanks!!

Unless someone just happens to have a homemade list, you may have to order one of each o-ring and seal from Mercedes and measure the dimensions yourself, then try to find a duplicate. Some suppliers do give sizes along with either Mercedes or their own part numbers but AFAIK, EPC gives only the Mercedes part number.

Ah, ok. The OM603 I just installed in a 300SDL has a terrible leak at 4 of 6 of the delivery valves. It actually leaks back down, because as you crank to start it the next day, bubbles form where it purging air.

You might go to the Frypower site and see if they list the sizes.

Also, sometimes when you do the sort of thing you are doing you have to buy one of each item and use those to measure and get the sizes.

Also, the Crushwashers that go in the Fuel Injection Pump may not just be plain Copper; I believe they are a harder alloy.

I suspect (but do not know for sure) that some of Mercedes' o-ring sizes are "special." Several years ago I tried to find a duplicate of an o-ring (don't remember which one) but the foreign car parts places had only "generic" sizes and none were a good enough match.

Your idea to put together a kit so that you have your own private stash for future work is a good one. There are some o-rings that should be changed regularly, like the pair on the oil filter tube, but many people wait until they turn into plastic and shatter then wonder what happened to their oil pressure. Crush washers often get re-used but eventually you have to replace them. If you do put together a kit, share a list with the forum and where you got them.

Google Search = Viton O-rings for mercedes diesels
Went down the list of sites and found:
http://www.threepoints.com/forum/f30/om602-diesel-oil-stem-o-rings-viton-o-rings-biodiesel-136/

Has a list of O-ring sizesm for a OM602. Someone else can look up the part numbers for a OM602 and OM603 Fuel Injection Pump O-ring and see if they are the same part numbers.

When I did the delivery valves on my om602 here's what I ordered from mcmaster-carr

1 9263K299 METRIC VITON(R) FLUOROELASTOMER O-RING, 2 MM WIDTH, 15 MM ID

14$ for 25 viton o-rings. Of course, I recommend you confirm this size from another source.
