I need help troubleshooting my climate control. 1999 w210 turbodiesel.

I have the dreaded "EC" light always on.

I pulled the 1-8 codes and found that code #7 reads a value of "07" while code #8 reads "80".

The system has over 100# static pressure.

I speculate that #7 and #8 are the left and right side temperature?

After I pulled the codes I reset the climate control. The EC light now stays off but the compressor still doesn't cycle. I speculate that the "EC" light will come back.

Can anyone help with the codes?
