Drivers side lock issue
I'm having issue with my Drivers side locking mechanism, when I push the inside plunger, all the locks go down and I close the door, before it would be locked, now. It looks locked but at times you can still open the door, it's like the plunger does not stay down all the way.

This is the same on all cars that I know of. The lock doesn't know if you have the key in your pocket or if you have left it by accident in the car. It is therefore designed to be locked from the outside.
If you are talking about the situation when you lock the doors from inside to stop some car jacker or angry windshield washer man from getting in when you are driving the car then you should be able to lock the driver's door when it is shut.
