w123 wagon headliner questions.

OK, I got to looking at the headliner for my TD. Since it was already out of the car, I really have nothing to go by so hoping someone here might have some ideas.

I have the longer bows, which go into the rubber mounts along the sides, plus I have 2 bars that are straight, one longer than the other. Where do these go?

Also, where can I get replacement rubber holders for the bows? I might as well just put a whole new set in since I'm missing 8 of them anyways. Anyone figure out and alternative to the rubber If I can't locate them?

remember this is a headliner going into an 82 wagon with no sunroof.

Thanks for any help.

The epc shows six of 'em, seems the front and rear are shorter.

Item #26 is part #115 696 00 20 (bearing), there are ten of those.

Ask 'DucatiPaso' over on B-World. He had an EXTENSIVE collection of good pics from his 230TE restoration... I've been meaning to ask if he still has those hosted or if he's send me a DVD with all of them.

Perfect!

Anyone got a better picture of step 11 in that PDF? What do those clips look like so I can see if I can find them in this pile of parts.

Ok, those clips are actually built into the roof front and rear. Looks like I'll I really need is to find those missing rubber mounts for the bows, pop each of the rear windows and tuck and glue everything into place.

The longer of the strait rods is the front one. Due to the rear speakers you have to use the shortest one there.

I'm still looking at the bows, I have 3 of the same lengths and 2 that are a little shorter.

Did a test to see about how it's going to look and it will make a huge difference to the car.

Good practice since there is a rip in the rear of my cd headliner. I know about having to remove the windshield and back window so it will a good time to freshen those seals also. Not to mention the perfect time to go threw the sunroof.... Playing with these cars just never ends lol.

On the rubber mount...

Called local Mercedes, they run about 3 bucks each and can be here on wednesday. Simple enough.... I really was expecting them to be a lot higher in price that that, wonder what fast lines price is.
