Help! Transmission issue

Hey guys, I have tried searching for this but it is such a weird problem; I have a 1987 W124 300D Turbo, a few weeks ago one of the rear calipers froze and I changed it out, bled the breaks and everything seemed fine with that, although the brakes were a little softer than before.

A couple weeks after that, I was taking a left turn at a light, the light turned green and I let off the brake and pushed the pedal and nothing happened! I had a line of car behind me and I guess the car felt bad and very slowly, after keeping the pedal down for a little bit, decided to cross the street and die at the side of the road. I tried to put it in reverse, D, 2, 3, and nothing happens at all.

The engine starts and shut down fine, what could cause this to happen after driving fine? Is it a vacuum issue or something internal in the transmission? I don't know where to start so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Pat
