We can only wait for the car owner to join us & let us get the full story.
One solution would be to take one of these so called failed IP's to a Bosch diesel injector/pump shop & have them set it up as per spec. Dont know what the going price for that is over on your side of the pond. Then take it back to this mech & play his bluff. Some how I dont think he knows jack s##t about diesels.
