injecters leak off hose

In my 84 300td, I broke off the leak off connector hose in the fuel injectors (in the middle cylinders) and I can't put it back in, what should I do, get a new hose maybe? It is a very hard plastic inside the tube and it doesn't want to go in the nipple. I have tried to lubricate it and press it in and it keeps breaking off. Any special tricks or thoughts?

That is the return hose. It can be reused in a pinch, if you have enough slack that you can cut the end off and try pushing it on. However, that would only work if it's not old and hard, and it sounds like yours is (and it would only be a temporary repair option).

If it's that old, replace all of it. Any parts vendor who sells stuff for VWs or Mercedes might have it in stock. It's cheap.

Never apply undue force when installing or removing the hose. The spine on the nipples (which holds the hose in place) isn't as strong as it might look (voice of experience).

Use a knife to slit the end of the hose before pulling it off. If you need to use force to install the new hose, use long-reach pliers and apply the force above the portion of hose actually sliding onto the nipple as you go along.

The original return hose is made of Rubber; your description does not match that.

If it is simply that the old Hose is so hard it breaks off you will need to get some new Hose.

go buy some 1/8" fuel line (not fuel injection line) at your local parts store, that will take car of your problem. If one hose is dried out and broken the others are likely going to get that way soon too. I would replace them all IMO.
