HELP! I have a 1982 300TD Wagon that I have been rebuilding the vacuum system on and I have hit a road block. I need two new Diesel Vacuum Switching 3/2 Way Valves. I have looked everywhere online, ebay, craigslist, called my local mercedes dealer, parts stores, etc.....Everyone says they are sold out and discontinued.

Any ideas? Anyone have any I can buy privately?

Don't bother with them, they control the EGR. They don't have anything to do with shifting the auto transmission-the vacuum modulator on the injection pump does that.

Do your intake manifold and vacuum system a favor; disconnect the 3/2 valves altogether.

When they leak, they do.

For the next newbie reading this, any chance someone can attach an image of the valve in question? I have removed my EGR and the crap associated with it.

If the Valves Themselves are still there; there used to be some sellers that sold the little levers separately.

Also no one mentioned the Junk Yard.

There is a few Members who have bypassed their EGR System and may be willing to sell off their old Valves.

My old valves have worn levers, I say to follow S=B's suggestion.

I've done that on both of mine.
