Question "sensen" shocks & struts?

Anybody here ever hear of a brand of shocks & struts called Sensen? I know they are cheap and I also know the old expression that "you get what you pay for", but money is tight right now & I really need new front struts on my 300CD.

Comments? Suggestions? Experiences?

A '78 300CD doesn't have front struts.

I've never heard of that brand but I see they're $17 each at [edit] a major online auto parts discounter. Double that gets you KYB or Monroe equivalents. Double that gets you Boge or Bilstein. The economy of paying more comes from how long they'll last. How long do you plan to keep your car? Regardless, if you can't afford $130, you can't afford $130. Do what you have to.

I used them on the front of my 87 300TD. Good stuff for the $. But as previously stated, shocks are on the front of a W123.

Sensen? Good for the money? Well yeah, if you don't mind replacing them every 6-12 months.

Pretty likely that 20-year-old Bilstiens will outperform new Sensens. But, same as with Uro/APA/FEQ parts, there's always someone out there too cheap to buy quality stuff, so they stay in business despite selling garbage. (It's a corollary to PT Barnum's Law.)

Note that Bilstien and KONI both offer lifetime warranty on their shocks/struts, which might help soften the ~$400 cost for a set of two struts / two shocks on a 124 chassis. The Bilstiens tend to last 150-200kmi before you can even tell they're worn. When you figure the dollars per mile after factoring in your time to replace the Sensens every couple of years, the Bilsteins end up far cheaper.

Thumbs up

I bought those 2 years ago for my 79 300CF at apxautoparts.com. Ride is really smooth, and i dont see much difference between cheap sensen and expensive KYB that i had before. Here is a link:

Sensen Shocks & Struts is an OE supplier for Volvo, Audi, and Volkswagon
Maybe they're an OE supplier to BMVV too.

LMFAO! Wow, man.... just "wow"

yeah, i'd say their webmaster needs to be taken out back & "tuned up" with a bent rusty shock & then maybe an angry Rottweiler for good measure!

I found their products being sold by numerous vendors on eBay, but found much better pricing at a different online vendor of auto parts, who's name I am apparently not allowed to type here????

In general Chinese made parts don't last. For that matter most anything made in China doesn't seem to last. If you can afford to not use them I would but we all understand that money is tight and you gotta do what you have to sometimes. You never know those shock may last a long time.

I did a search on the forum for sensen and this post it the only one that came up, so it's not likely that anyone here has every used sensen parts and maybe not even heard of them.
