monark nozzle pop test

Took my injectors with the Monark nozzles in to be pop tested.
The shop was unfamiliar with Monarks. The injectors made a cloud pattern.
is this normal for Monarks? According to the tech guy the injectors are supposed to chatter
and make a swirl pattern. The guy was nice and let me watch all the tests.

He cleaned up one of the Monark injectors and retested it. It then squirted instead of making
a cloud and he said the injector was toast. If you shim an injector does that cure the squirting?
These nozzles are about three years old.

Trying to learn about these critters,
Jeff
