ok, on the drivers side the bearing was set WAY to tight (from what ive read) but now that i've adjusted it, i cannot get the retaining nut to tighten so that it's NOT easy to move and stays at where I want it set???? suggestions?

UPDATE

Ok, so firstly I found my mistake regarding the retaining bolt not tightening. The bearing was way WAY to tight! The wheel wouldn't spin freely, it was more like turning a large old heater valve or something that required a lot of effort and, it definitely wouldn't spin once you took your hands off. Anyway so I adjusted it to the proper spec (passenger side was fine.. my guess is he forgot to 'back off' and set the bearing), WOW what a BIG difference that made! The most noticeable difference being that the front ball joint, or whatever was giving me that feeling and noise, is no longer an issue. While they still need to be addressed, i don't have any of that noise in the front nor the 'popping' when I turn.

So figuring that was the issue causing my 'ringing' sound, took her on a test drive and, while better, the noise still persists. I made a YouTube video of it.

Ill have to edit the link in later. Darn phone...

So, my next guess is looking into the front brake system. Possibly lines failing from the inside? Though now I'm wondering if the new rotors were installed correctly to begin with?

Just to recap on the issue, I am getting a High pitched 'metal on metal' sound randomly. Most noticeably at low speed when turning the wheel a little bit past 90 Degs. (either direction) and also sometimes when going straight (though that's definitely more noticeable and loud!) I've adjusted the bearing on the DS to proper spec and while I haven't noticed it as much or as loud, it's still there.

Will keep you all updated
