I am now searching for a decent replacement. I am glad I had the opportunity to drive a w124, and would consider another, but I now realize my preference for w123's. Any w123 wagons for sale that I have not seen? I have looked at ebay and all of craigslist. Where else should I look?

Thanks again for all the input.

That's a shame. I would post in the for sale section here and at benz world that you are looking to buy a W123 wagon and someone may be sitting on one but haven't listed it yet.

Did you trade? How many 124 300TDs do you own now? I think I read somewhere on here about a 3 TD limit.

they spent the better part of a day cleaning it, and it has NEVER looked better! (I had a cool steam cleaner, and She went to town on the carpets etc, and the car looks great!)
we replaced an upper control arm, and a spindle assembly, a rotor, the A/C with a NEW compressorworks R4, fresh receiver, and a full charge of R12! I stuck a decent tape deck in there so they'd have some tunes on their drive back to MA, and did a fair amount of tinkering on the car prior to the trip.
fresh flush and refill with G05, even pulled the block drain. the radiator I had in the car, had a crack in it that was epoxied, and I didn't feel safe with them taking that up mountains and such on a long trip, so I installed a MUCH better radiator, after I chemically cleaned it to like new condition. the fog light was cracked, so I put in a good one, the last three days are a blur, so I'm not sure EVERYTHING we did, but he's on his way home!

Was this car there when I was? I don't remember it. I can't believe I over looked it. But, then again, the trip was a blur. I've used 90% of the stuff I brought home with me so far. Without the trip my TD would have NEVER gotten to the condition it's in right now.
