Injector return hoses

I noticed one of the return hoses on my 240d was weeping fuel oil through the fabric covering. I bought 4 feet of 1/8" hose at NAPA (fuel rated, not the windshield washer/vacuum junk) and replaced the return hoses. Is there any down side to using generic fuel hose?
