That is what I did before I had the Tools.

If you are going to beat off the joint be sure you have source of another Nut for the Ball Joint.

I could also see Myself at the Junk Yard and not being able to pull a Steering Knuckle off because they prop the Cars up randomly and do not allow you to bring in a Jack.
