Had to sell

Well, guys, I had to sell my 87 300D this week. We had some flooding out here on the Outer Banks of NC. It came on so fast that it caught me unaware & managed to get into the floorboard of the car.

It really bummed me out, but fortunately for me I have a friend that has coveted my car since I bought it. He has several MBs in his fleet & when I said something about getting rid of mine, he jumped on it with an offer I couldn't refuse. I told him about the flooding & the other problems the car had, but I still wanted it. So I sold it to him. At least it's in a MB family now.

I found a Nissan Maxima I liked & bought that. I have mixed feelings about selling my Benz, but since D2 & RUG are $.50 a gallon apart out here, it even makes some sense economically to go with a gasser for now. I do a lot of driving to & from the VA Medical Center in Durham, NC (about 275 mi each way), so I think I'll come out ahead in fuel cost department (for now). Since Obama got re-elected, we will ALL see our fuel prices jump anyway.

I will continue here on this forum. It's the best place on the internet for all things Benz. One day I will get another one, so I want to keep up.

My best to all of you & many thanks to those on this forum for their time & efforts to edumacate us Newbies in the art of Benz ownership.
