I believe one of the brands use a cast (steel?) impeller and another uses bent steel, don't think thats the proper term but its all I got. I would prefer the cast impeller.

yup that's right. some are steel and some... ?? who knows, composites??.

For other than the 300D, I am aware that even the shape of the impeller has to be investigated. Some move coolant better than others.

Lifetime warranty sounds decent.
It's a crap shoot now w the 'world economy' .
