My daily driver is a 190D 5 speed. same situ, 153K, lightly smacked in the posterior. I've driven 300D's 300SD's 400e's a 300te 4matic, and an S500. The biggest smile was produced by the S500 accelerating from 60-90 in like a second and a half, unbelievable. But the 190D with a 5 speed, I scoot around corners, and swerve to avoid potholes to my hearts content.
