Is a spare manual tranny for $130 (with 350K miles) worth it?

Hi guys,

Someone I know is parting out a 240D, and he has offered to sell me the manual transmission out of it for $130. It has 350K miles on it!

He is selling it for someone else, and the condition is unknown.

It's a little tempting, but I'm not sure I should bite.

My 240D only has 138K miles, and the transmission is doing just fine.

Is it worth it? Just to have a spare sitting around?

Packman
