yeah, it really is an MGB-GT, I've had a couple. Sad thing is, '74 was the last year for the GT and few were imported. Get rid of those hideous wheels and tires, hopefully the interior isn't as ghetto as the rest, and if it still has the dual SU carbs and no rust, it "might" be worth $2k. Terrible body kit and sunroof, too. $1k.

1974 had all the EPA-mandated emissions bandaids - so probably a single Stromberg carb. The wheels would be easy enough to change. At least it doesn't have the DOT-mandated black-rubber nose-job that spoiled the later MGBs, and I could live with the 'moonroof'. But Uggh! That trashy body-kit absolutely ruins it for me.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Never had an MG but had a Sprite mk3 and a 3000Mk3. The sprite was a cousin of the Midget and the MGC had a 3000 engine in it. They were my first and third cars.

To stay on topic... neither were turds.

I had a '74 1/2, it had the rubber bumpers and twin SUs, which I replaced with a single downdraft Weber.

I'll put $200 in on the limo. If we all chip in we can take turns driving it

As I understand it you air up to normal for rough terrain, and lower down for cool looks/ improved aerodynamics on the highway. When she's parked you drop it as low as it can go to look cool.

or for tow prevention. ;)

i don't know why folks are so anti air bags. they're way more common than many may realize. they're used for heavy load suspension assist on trucks and suv's, and in a good amount of big sedans. they provide for a super smooth ride.

i'd love to have a nice 300sd on bags. big, low, & smooth.
