Thanks for the offer Stretch, but I think shipping from your neck of the woods would be even more!:-D
Well I wouldn't get the almost right one (.303) if it wasn't especially cheap.

Could it just be the B1 drum or is that indicative of more damage to clutches, valve body and the likes?

Well based on the one .303 I've taken to bits I'd say just the drum, but the only way to see is to pull it all to pieces.

In some respects you've got nothing to loose now - except a blazing row with the wife of course who'll then say you broke it and it was perfectly alright before...

...price wise a re-seal kit will be about 150 USD - a second hand drum ???? USD a set of brake bands will be expensive, but can be bought cheaper, but the clutch disks shouldn't be too bad.

You could, however, easily approach the price in parts for that "rebuilt?" .315 advertised on ebay if you are not a smart shopper.

That is always a challenge....the wife I mean.

I'll have a look around, biggest problem is that I don't have much time to mess with it, I need it to drive!

There are not a lot of pick n pays around here so I will have to call used parts places to get some pricing in my area.

I would like to rebuild it if I can find one cheap enough.
