I have 4 of these in my 300D, for years. Never had a problem. They replaced the "hard" donuts I put on around 2005.

Something to realize at least on early 90's SL's, the exhaust doughnuts have a roller chain embedded in the rubber. ( Like a bike chain, probably a # 25 judging by the 1/4" ish pitch )

This is a hidden reason why some are more expensive than others.

Also, make sure all exhaust hangers share the load, if something is bent , rewelded, some hangers will be overloaded.

Don`t use the plastic one`s, they don`t last as long as the wire hangers.

I replaced them on the 300D a few times, but in the almost 4 years we have had the 240, they are the one`s that were on it when we got it.

The 240 has less HP, so they should last longer.

When Iam in PNP I usually look under to see if there are any good ones, so far I have a large Coffee can full of different types.

Stopped by my local scrap metal yard today. There was a very rusty mid 80's 300D upside down in the lot. It had extension cord and house wire holding the two under rear seat mufflers up.

I think a real solution would be to add a 2nd hanger bracket on each end to share the load or adding two rings per pin.
