I'm in Brewster, not too far from you. Although I didn't have a greasecar system in the 300d I had one in a TDI Passat.
Never really ran it and removed it last year. Actually have the system if anyone is interested.
I have the special wrenches for valve adjustment and would be happy to help out and share what I know with a fellow diesel enthuasist.
The 300D was a Father son project. We did a sand down and paint job. Unfortaunately I sold it for needed funds when he went off to college. Don't think he forgave me yet.
