I was thinking about this heating / cooling system - is there a way of isolating the radiator during a heating cycle? I mean you're putting in a lot of energy warming up the block and the cabin it might be a bit more efficient if you by-pass the cooling part of the system until you need it. I guess they thought about that but I don't see it on the diagram above.

Well i guess thats why the heatercore get the most warm water, with those long watertubes.
It would be much easyer to tap it from the returnline form the heatercore. Then you need short pipes. But i have the metal pipes running behind the engine. ![]() |

Super Cow,
have you finished webasto heating? Was it worth? I'm in the midle of instaling ThermotopE in my 190d. You are mentioning that water must be taken from the right side of the engine. Is it possible to take it from the side where is exaust? Thanks in advance |

SuperCow,
Above you mention: "To convert a petrol webasto BBW 46 to Diesel, DBW 46 is to change the burn fleece to a diesel one." Can you explain what part you needed and how you exchanged it? Perhaps you have a part number and a source for ordering it? Is it similar to this kit? Webasto DBW 46 heater Burner Fleece Kit | 472492, Or can I just use only this part? Webasto DBW 46 heater Burner Fleece Diesel | 112779 | 1319252A Another option: Thanks. |

Great idea. I wanted something like this for my car in ND but couldn't find anything that could heat it up fast without external power.
