The danged thing popped two 25 amp fuses.

I disconnected the mono valve to see if that would help. It did reduce some load, but the fuse got hot as the blower motor ramped up.

I now know where the excessive draw is, and I know I need to order the fix kit.

I'm going to AZ to get a fuse and hold to do a temp fix, or I'll just put the fan on a relay until I get back from my trip.

Measured amps of blower, aux pump and monovalve on my 85 today.

Monovalve and aux pump was around 0.8 amps each. Blower was 20.5 amps at 2000 rpm! My 25 amp fuse was hot. I think this is normal since 20 amps dc is a lot of current. The meter leads was warm and the fuse in it was also hot.

I measured blower, monovalve and aux pump current draw on my 85 today. Aux pump and mono valve is 0.8 to 0.9 amps. The blower drew 20.5 amp while revving the engine. At idle it drew 18 amps. On my 83, it was 16 amps at idle. in 85 the motor got stronger? My 25 amp fuse was hot- that's normal. 20 amps DC is a lot of current!

Also wired in 2 amp fuses for the monovalve and aux pumo so I don't have to worry about blowing the CCU anymore.

Is the compressor on a relay or does it get it's power from the same circuit? I know there is an ice cube relay, but I do not know if it allows power to just the compressor.
