I just jack the car up, pull the fill, then the drain, set the car back down on the ground for a bit. Jack it up, pump in whatever the car calls for like 1.1L IIRC and put the plugs back in.

I never raised either of my 123's to change diff fluid. There was enough room for me to get under there and drain and fill without having to raise them. I bought the lube in 1 qt squeeze bottles, but I also have a hand pump. You can get them cheap at Harbor Freight.

Those are the ones I have although I think I need to replace them since the rubber feet have vanished and its hard to get the cars up them now.

Yes ramps will work quite well. Unlike engine oil which gets heavily contaminated from combustion by products, if you don't get every possible drop out, it's really no big deal as long as you get most of it.

I have come to a point that whenever I buy a used car, I immediately drain the diff oil and put in synthetic. Also, those little plastic pumpst that thread into the small bottles are very readily available these days.

I have a pump that fits on a five gallon bucket and quite a bit of the stuff left in the bucket, but it's not synthetic. Not sure when I'll use it.

I like the fact that the rhino ramps have a small wheel stop in their design ,the metal ones I own just have a resested area that keeps the tire on its landing.Its a 14mm allen bolt that will require a good amount of force if overtightened in the past and is a good idea to knock off some of the crusty debree around the opening before you take the bolt out.I recently had my 190 on the ramps to do the diff. fluid,then drove the frt up to get the 5spd fluid changed ,it really is safe if done properly ,the chalking of the tires opposite of the ramp is a good precaution.

Not that it matters too much, but it seems like I should be able to get some additional fluid out with a fluid extractor....might as well as long as it's opened up, right?
