Granted it is a 1979 non turbo, with the evil servo....here's one similar, close milage and frankly a really nice color for 6500$ plus it comes from the original family..

Its true, but I find the early w123's more a classic car stats then the 80s models....plus the color combo is so much nice...and there's no vacuum mess on the transmission

Wow. That looks sweet. Honestly, if it shows like it looks in the pics, and has the accompanying paperwork, I would take that at $6k before the '84 at $11k. In half a heartbeat.

I say again: what else can you get for that kind of money? Sometimes it helps to look away from the perspective of this forum (whose inhabitants tend to be on the, err, Scots side of spending) and look at the world around.

You can't get a worthwhile Volkswagen for that money. Not around here anyway.

Around here rust free good running Type I's come up as low as $4000-5000 once in a while.
