VIN # position for tranny?
I know in the older VIN numbers that start with chassis #
as the first three numbers, position 8 is the transmission, with 0 as a manual and 2 as an automatic. Where is that info in the newer WDB VIN numbers? Trying to track down a manual tranny on Row52 to get a clutch pedal assembly. Thanks, Jeff

I'm pretty sure the USA VIN standard does allow for trans info ( it does show engine codes, if the engines were manual only it might help ) There is a 2 digit type code at position 6 and 7 in the WDB setup that shows model designation, that may in a round about way equal manual / auto.
Is Row 52 more secret that Area 51? |

Area 51 is where you go to get old, junky, used spaceship parts.
