Totally! The discount is taken off at the register. Take the gallon of Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5w40 and let them scan it at the register.

Just for kicks I entered a Providence zip code. The sale is there also. As sixto stated, it is in the fine print.

The ad says "Delvac, M1 Truck Diesel or Blue jug". They claim you can order online and pickup in store, but when you click you get a generic jug "Valvoline/Mobil" added to your cart.

I would go to the store and let them scan the jug; if it does not come up with the $12.99 price I would push the issue. The Mobil 1 TDT is definitely synthetic, and I have used it in the OM602; will not hesitate to use it in the OM606 either.

The sale is on until 24 December.

scrolling down does show the Mobil delvac oil... but it shows the 15w40... not synthetic... the ad CLEARLY shows M1 in it's text... so I'm off to the store.

Every vehicle has an approved list of fluids certified by MB as meeting their operating requirements. Mercedes-Benz Specifications for Operating Fluids: Overview Sheets Newer vehicles can suffer damage using lessor spec products in some systems, your trans for example.

M1 5W-40 TDT meets a Cat spec, but has no MB ratings. Mobil's site won't pop that oil up in their search engine as recommended for a 606. Another oil does pop up and that oil is on the MB's approved list.

That said, your 606.962 would probably do fine on TDT and I may have used it a time or two in my 606 when M1 Euro Blend 0W/40 factory fill oil disappeared (although it might have been the discontinued Turbo Diesel rather than TDT - been too long ago). Mobil enjoys changing their names around every year or two to make selecting oils more fun. The spec always tells the story.

I got 2 gallons in San Luis Obispo, CA today. Amazing price. The employee could not believe it, but their computer system had the discount in the system.

Thanks for the info!

Also the oil is placed conspicuously separate from the regular oils on the shelf. You have to scout for where they place Diesel oils and look closely from there to find Mobil TDT 5w40 jugs... Good luck!

You saved $276 over your next 6 or so oil changes! Holy cow.

I need to grab another gallon at least. Then I'll save 2/3 off my next change.

With 10,000-12,000 mile oil changes, at this point I have enough M1 TDT for 6 years.

Not available at any price at the three stores in my area -- I was at one an hour ago and the manager said none of the other two stores have it either "and they're bigger."
