I thought you have an SD tranny. Can't you just get an SD speedo and cable?

I don't think the 'SD speedo will fit... there's circuitry running all around that white behemoth and the W123 cluster doesn't provide a lot of lateral room. And he can't do the tailshaft swap either because the tranny won't have the oil tube for the speedo cable.

Of course, there is a chance...

Sirnik84 put a 4-spd in his 84 300SD, and I think he used a W124 spedo he cut down to work in the W126 cluster.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto
