Toyota 4Runner 1988 OM616 swap

Hello everyone, I am very happy to become a member here, hope to get a lot info since my new engine is a Merc OM616 in my 4Runner. here is the progress of my swap

here are few pics of the last moments of 3vze under the hood. byebye 3vze, you sputtering bastard

first we've put om616 on the motorcycle lift, leveled it and started to prepare the adapter plate and all other things

as you can see, unlike on the om617, on om616 oil filter housing gets in the way for the adapter plate so i had to remove it, will get to it later

here is the distance plate for the flywheel

it will be easy to get the holes out of that one

and the last one for today with plate leveled up with the tranny, ive also made some punchmark tools and got the holes marked for tomorrows drilling etc.

a bit of progress
