How long does your recirculator run on your 124?

Mine runs for about 10-15 minutes before kicking off.. Not sure if that's normal or not..

Oh does it factor cabin temp into the time?

On my commute I just throw the wheel to full heat and have the blower on high.

Ohh! Yes, the hvac recirculator, the one activate by the button on the center console. Sorry should have been more specific.

I'll have to re-read the FSM, but as I recall it stays on full resirc for 20 minutes, then goes to 80% resirc for another 20 minutes.

It is described in chapter 83-600 of the 124 FSM. It covers 2 full pages.

It is quite sophisticated and not just a simple on-off function.

The rocker switch engages recirculate but it is automatically turned off in most cases by rules driven by time, inside and outside temperatures, temperature setpoint, and whether there is a call for compressor.

Recirculate is also automatically engaged on a hot day when starting the car, but the LED does not illuminate in the button in this case.
