But its great shape OM617 turbo is for sale! :D (shameless plug here)

I kind of want to keep the 616. This car is everything that is right about a diesel Benz short of being a wagon. No sunroof, manual everything....perfect and it's brown

I'm wondering why the name was chosen? Jawa brown?

cooljjay 06-10-2014 12:28 AM

hmmmm do I see the sudden raise in popularity of brown cars :P

There's a bunch of brown metallic VW's around here....

My 190d attains the true simplicity too. All it has are power windows and a radio with one working speaker (for now).

Non turbo 4cyl motor.....manual seats....no A/C. Super basic. :D

Exactly, Megan loves the Jawas and "helps" them during star wars weekends so it was natural to name it as such.

So you will be going to star wars weekends in a brown W123 then - you've got to dress up as C3PO the gold will go so well!

you need some airbrushing on the boot, the scene where R2D2 gets zapped by them would go well on there... it's also the first scene where the name was used...

The only problem with the name is every time I read it I have to say it out loud in my best Jawa voice....

I'm glad I'm not the only one :D

Pumped the remaining fuel out of the tank and removed the first aid kit to look in the tank. It's clean with the usual residue in the bottom. I also noticed the trunk had a good amount of water in it :(.

Saw water coming in from the lock area and the rear glass seal was a little moist.
Guess I know what I'll be doing

I also need to replace the windshield seal on Megan's car since it leaks when it rains hard.

Now to find an OEM rear seal. Trunk seal might be ok with a uro

uro rear windshield seals are just find....I am supporting two on my cars...4 if you count the fronts....I re used my 4 year old uro seal on my 78....no leaks and easy to get on...

Nope before this I live in Cali....20 mins from SF....only been out here a year and half....euro benz has been out here maybe 5 months....and that one had the windshields busted out for over a year and the seals still held up :P

gatorblue92 06-12-2014 05:16 AM

I'm going on 4 years on a URO windshield seal with no leaks... However the car has only been driven about 6000 miles and stays inside.

Stretch 06-12-2014 05:56 AM

Ahhh the secret to success. Don't leave your car out in the rain!
