I saw a similar 'camper built on an old 240, this one was a wooden one with shake shingles!
Rear suspension looked to be completely bottomed out.

I saw it down in Tijuana, no, not part of the 'caravan', this was 20 years or so ago.

I wanted to, but have been saving my money for a decent 230S. It would have been more tempting if it had a proper rear door or hatch so it could also be used like a station wagon. Here are some older pics of it:

This car has been here before, in the craigslist thread I think .

It's neat but very old and tired, isn't worth much considering all the work necessary to get any old wood framed camper road worthy again ~ why else do you think it's been sitting so long ? .

I'd love it too .
