1985 300CD Rear Window Regulator
One of the rear window regulators on my 300CD is missing a little clamp which goes over the pin that connects the window to the regulator.
About halfway rolling down, the bending joint on the regulator which is supposed to bend down and collapse toward the window motor, bends up the wrong way, pulls slightly inward towards the car and starts to pop out the pin. The rear of the window goes down farther than the front and it only goes halfway down. If I hold the front of the window down, keeping it level while rolling down it performs normally. I tried aligning the window in different ways with the various adjustments but the problem persists. Does anyone have experience with the rear regulator joint bending the wrong way in a 300CD? (I believe the rear regulators are different than those in a 300D.) Does anyone have access to the little clamp Im referring to? I couldn't duplicate it at the hardware store. Do I need a whole new regulator or is this reparable? Thank You *similar problem as this guy: 300CD Rear Window Regulator Pictures Last edited by kalikar85; 07-21-2014 at 10:59 PM. |
